To those of you who really know me, I am a businessman and entrepreneur by heart. I've been branding myself a little more by this in the past year as I have become more involved with the local Seattle fashion community.
I collaborated with Bosca, a fine Italian leather company that produces both men’s and women’s leather bags, wallets and totes, among other products. I put together a styled shoot featuring the Partners Brief in Amber, representing a look with the classic businessperson's briefcase that you carry around at work.
What stood out to me about Bosca was that it is a 100-year-old, family-owned brand that was originally started by Italian immigrant Hugo Bosca in 1911 (after he came to America in pursuit of the American dream). Three generations later, Hugo’s two grandsons work hard each day to create beautifully and richly-inspired products that are also durable and functional.
The history sits well with me because I feel very passionately about working hard to pursue your dreams. I learned that it's easy to talk about big things, however there's even more of a challenge to implement what you talk about. It's worth a shot trying, even if you fail.
Bosca products use predominately Italian vegetable tanned hand-stained leather, meaning it's one of those brands that get better and better with use and age. Some of the other items Bosca sells for men and women are totes, briefcases, messenger bags, handbags, wallets, shoes, belts and more. I was able to check out the 12 Pocket Credit Wallet in Cognac with a sleek design and cool exterior.
I appreciate a nice, quality leather product that is stylish and trendy. Especially since my style is primarily on the dapper side, a leather briefcase fits the message I aim to portray. For all those aspiring entrepreneurs, my advice would be to stick with your specialty and brand yourself based on your strengths. Hope you enjoyed this post about Bosca!
